We’ve reviewed some of the most popular car models on the road today, to see which were the least expensive to insure. The cheapest cars to insure tend to be small SUVs, minivans and small pick-up trucks, while large sedans come in as the more expensive insurance cars to cover.

According to 2019 studies, the Honda Odyssey LX comes in at number one with an average annual insurance cost of just under $1300.00, and the Chevrolet Traverse L comes in at number 20 with an average range of $1370.00 to $1375.00. However, nearly any of the vehicles on this list are good options to consider if you’re looking for low-cost car insurance.

The least expensive on the list starting at $1250.00 (#1) and the most expensive at $1375.00 (#20), creating an annual average range difference of approx. $125.00. The list is based on auto make and model, as well as average annual insurance cost range:
