Webinar, Tues. Apr. 13, 2021: New CA COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave

by | Mar 31, 2021 | Business, Employee Benefits, Events

Webinar Sponsored by United Agencies Insurance

Please join us on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10AM to 11AM (PDT) as we cover California’s newly enacted SB 95, which dramatically extends and expands employers’ obligation to provide supplemental paid sick leave to employees impacted by COVID-19.

Among other things, this new requirement applies to employers with more than 25 employees, establishes a new “bank” of COVID-19 related sick leave for covered employees for 2021 – even if such leave was previously provided in 2020 and expands the qualifying reasons to include vaccine-related reasons.

This legislation goes into effect on March 29, 2021 and will apply retroactively back to January 1, 2021 – creating logistical and compliance challenges for California employers.

The webinar will provide details on the new law and its requirements, so you can move quickly to comply with this new and complicated mandate. This is one you cannot afford to miss!

This program has been pre-approved for 1 recertification credit hour toward a PHR, aPIHRi, PHR, PHRca, SPHR, GPHR, PHRi, SPHRi, and HRCI recertification credits.
